Lo-Fi / Mile-X

This third-year architecture studio explored the design of large-scale multi-unit housing in Montreal's Mile-Ex neighborhood, emphasizing the intersection of labor, domesticity, and digital/physical communities. Students developed projects across multiple scales—from street and block to individual rooms—while crafting narratives that reflected urban dynamism through storytelling and worldbuilding.

The studio's unique approach centered on creating animated films and speculative drawings as primary project deliverables, requiring students to master Blender 3D animation techniques and develop detailed asset libraries for scenographic development.

The course integrated site documentation through a class trip to Monteral, culminating in housing projects that responded to complex urban interdependencies while advancing architectural storytelling through immersive visual narratives.
